The concept of the Spex Gallery came from my own experiences of working in the optical profession over the last 30 years. I wanted to give people the opportunity to experience the thrill of enjoyment when buying new glasses.

I wanted it to be a relaxed and informal process without having to worry about the cost. The Ayr branch opened 7 years ago and proved to be very successful which encouraged me to open the Kilmarnock branch where my son Richard is the manager.
